Thankful Thursday #2

Things I Am Thankful For...

Many times in our lives we go through things that cause us pain, sorrow and even leave us feeling hopeless. It's really important that we can reflect on the things that we are thankful for.

If there is one thing that I have learned in my own life is that by living with a life of gratitude it can change your entire outlook on your life and how you handle the things in your life.

There are many tough things that we go through over time, but if you can take a moment to stop and simply reflect on the blessings in your life I believe you will see just how blessed your life is!

I'm linking this post to Jessie's blog (Jessie Loves To Run),
the creative genius behind the Thankful Thursday concept.

Thanks for always being such a sweetheart, Jessie <3 xo
With that being said ... here are some reasons I am thankful.

1. My Son - for making me laugh and helping me realize my strength. For keeping me sane and ... for driving me crazy sometimes :) Children have their own special way of making you feel that you are “super special” to them, the smile that they can bring to your face when you are feeling blue and they look for nothing in return.

2. My son's father - one of my best friends. Thank you for being my friend and for helping me learn more about myself along the way.

3. My Nephews - Robbie, Christopher, Alejandro, Ryan, and Thomas - my little superheroes. It's amazing to see what a childs love can do to anyone at anytime.

4. My Brothers & Sisters - Rob, Kirsty, Jeana, Joan, Erin, Daniel, and Kara

for being 7 of the greatest people in my life!
Brothers and sisters can’t be beat .. best thing in the world!

5. Family Time  -  I love spending time with my family! It doesn't matter what we're doing, I love the feeling of being with family. Our time together is the most meaningful thing to me.

What are you thankful for today?

  1. awwww i love this! i cant believe how many siblings you have! i am an only child so i am a little jealous hehe xox

today i am thankful i survived parent teacher interviews!

    1. Hey, thanks so much hun! Don't be jealous..My son recently started asking me for a baby brother - so not possible!! lol

Good on you for making it through parent teacher interviews btw - hey we're not so bad afterall, right?! I think parents are sometimes more intimidated by the teachers to tell you the truth :P

  2. My goodness you not only have a lot of siblings, but a lot of nephews! How fun! I have two brothers but think it would be so fun to have a lot more siblings. Today I'm thankful for vino! After a very long day, very long, I ended it with a champagne and sparkling wine class. Ahhhh :-)

    1. Me too - Two brothers - to serve and protect, right?? lol I think we do that more of that for them though?! :P

Champagne and sparkling wine class??!! What an awesome way to end the day - indeed!! Cheers to that!

  3. Wow, you have a lot of siblings! I have two older brothers and they are definitely some of the best and closest people in my life. Today I am thankful for having a relaxing day at home playing with my son, as well as ending the day with a nice cup of hot chocolate with some Frangelico liquor added..yum!

    1. That's such a sweet thing for you to say that about your brothers :) I love hearing people say that about their siblings!

Relaxing at home sounds great - nothing beats love, kisses, hugs, and cuddles from little sweethearts <3

I've never had Frangelico (and with with hot chocolate??) What a treat!! #mommydeservesthebest :)

  4. Awe, look at all of your nephews. How adorable are each & every one of them. I also can't get over how many siblings you have. That must of been amazing growing up. Always knowing you had some around. I don't see how it would be possible to ever be bored :)

    1. Soooo true Jessie! Always sooo much action, adventure, and exploration growing up!! By far some of the best times of my life :) :)

It's funny, with so many boys in the family, my son sometimes asks me "Am I still the cutest boy in the world?" :P :P lol

  5. Aww, so many little boys in your life, and they are all adorable! What great things to be thankful for. Hope your thanksgiving was wonderful!
